This is a trip where we will take our time floating down the river and fishing along the way in a stretch that is known to be good for angling! You will need to purchase fishing licenses in advance at https://www.dgif.virginia.gov/licenses/.
If you do not want to fish, this is NOT the trip for you.
The purpose of all FOMR float trips is to introduce people to a river that has previously been somewhat inaccessible. You’ll learn how to use some of the put-ins and take-outs available. Canoe and kayak events— by their nature— are subject to change or cancellation due to high water, weather or other natural hazardous conditions. Once you sign up, we will email you with more details about where to meet and we will send you the paperwork you need to bring to the float.
Look out, smallmouth bass, here we come!
